About Us

Who We Are

The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA), Canadian Society of Exploration Geophysicists (CSEG) and the Canadian Well Logging Society (CWLS) are excited to be organising the fourth annual Earth Science for Society (ESfS) exhibition on March 19-21, 2017 at the Big Four Building, Stampede Park. The ESfS organising committee members are geoscience volunteers.

What We Do

This is a free, family-friendly event and you are all invited to visit our four themed pavilions including Energy for Us, Resources and You, One Dynamic Earth and Our Future. ESfS showcases hands-on, interactive exhibits demonstrating the importance of the Earth Sciences in our everyday lives. It helps students and the public to understand the critical role Earth Sciences play in the responsible development of our country rich natural resources and how these resources are utilized in our everyday lives. Junior high school students are guided around the exhibits by geoscience volunteer guides and have the opportunity to learn about career opportunities in the Earth Sciences.
